Great article (although I preferred the one written in norwegian). One thing though, I don't know if Farmann posesses knowledge the rest of us don't, but from what can be gathered from public sources, the loans swedish banks (apart from perhaps Swebank) have extended to eastern european (i.e. baltic) countries aren't really that massive. Certainly nowhere near sums the Swedish government couldn't bailout by itself. (Pretty much btw, like the government of Norway, if it wanted to, easily by itself could bail out Island.) Considering the gigantic actual deficits out there, why the big focus on this comparatively small issue?
